Research
At Dave Arbogast RV and Boat Depot
we are proud to offer a full range of Boats and RVs. We also
welcome any/all Trade-Ins on any of our
fine Boats and RVs.
Often this vast
selection can become rather overwhelming and our Professional Sales
Staff is eager to be of assistance. Boats and RVs come in a
variety of Classes and the first step is always determining what class
best suits YOUR needs and wants:
|
 |
Class A
RVs are the largest of the RVs and tend to look "bus like"
in appearance. These Class A Motorhomes are broken down
further into two sub-classes being Gas and Diesel (motors) - the
Diesel Motor homes are often referred to as Diesel Pushers for
the fact that the engine is typically located in the rear
portion of the RV. |
| |
|
 |
Class B
RVs tend to be the smaller of the Motorhomes and are
traditionally built on a standard van chassis. Class B
Motorhomes offer all the amenities of a Motor home for those who
may be uncomfortable with driving, parking or storing a much
larger RV. |
| |
|
|
 |
Class C
RVs can sometimes be thought of as a cross between a Class A
and a Class B. The nose, or driving cabin, of a Class C is
that of a van, however it is then is followed by a "cut away"
portion that is replaced with a box like structure that houses
the living quarters of the RV. This allows for more more
space traditionally limited by the confines of a Class B, but
still usually smaller and more affordable than a Class A. |

Travel Trailers are the most common towable RV. Absent
of a power train, the Travel Trailer RV is dependant on vehicle
to move it from point A to point B. With the advent of the
Ultra-Light Travel Trailers, some can even be towed by a bumper
hitch of a large sedan or half-ton pick-up truck. Larger
Travel Trailers must depend on 3/4 ton or larger trucks to get
around and even larger are sometimes referred to as "Park
Models" that typically are parked in one location for long
periods of time and in the rare event they need moved is done by
a truck more commercial in nature. |

|
|
 |
Fifth-Wheels are very similar to Travel Trailers, except for
the fact that they are towed on a larger hitch located in the
bed of a pick-up rather than the bumper. These RVs tend to
be on the larger side of Trailers and compensates for the extra
weight by moving the hitch from the bumper to directly of the
rear axle of the towing vehicle - this allows for more
stability. |

 |
Toy Haulers are a specialty RVs
that that actually have a "garage" like storage in the rear
quarters for the likes of motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs and
some even large enough to carry an full size automobile. A
ramp in the back allows for easy loading and unloading of such
vehicles with traditional living quarters found in the front of
the RV. |
Once the type of RV is determined, you can
begin to discover the many of models and options that cater to your
recreational experience. If at anytime you have any questions
along the way, send us an email
and we will promptly reply.
