The nose, or driving cabin, of a Class C is that of a van, however it is then is followed by a "cut away" portion that is replaced with a box like structure that houses the living quarters of the RV. This allows for more more space traditionally limited by the confines of a Class B, but still usually smaller and more affordable than a Class A.
